Capacity Building for Public Procurement Stakeholders: ANRMP Engages Ivorian Financial Sector Actors
On July 30, 2024, the National Authority for Public Procurement Regulation (ANRMP) held a sensitization workshop at its Training Center, focused on financial sector actors. This event, centered on the theme “Public Procurement Regulation,” brought together representatives from banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, and health fund management firms.
During his speech, Mr. N’ZI Moro Nicaise Alexandre, Vice-President of the ANRMP Regulation Council, emphasized the critical role of banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies in ensuring the effectiveness of the public procurement system, particularly during the bidding and execution phases. He also noted that this capacity-building session follows a request made by the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions of Côte d’Ivoire (APBEF-CI) and the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d’Ivoire (ASA-CI) during discussions in 2023.
Through this workshop, ANRMP aims to establish a framework for constructive dialogue with financial sector actors, enabling them to play a more effective role in public procurement financing. The goal is to enhance financial support for bidders and contract holders.
The discussions covered the following topics:
– The legal framework of public procurement;
– Financial execution methods for public procurement;
– Guarantees in public procurement.
These topics were addressed by the Deputy Secretary-General in charge of Policy Definition and Training, as well as the Deputy Secretary-General responsible for Appeals and Sanctions.
