The Armp and the National Fund for Social Security join forces
On 21 February 2024, the Public Procurement Regulation Authority (ARMP) and the National Fund for Social Security (CNSS) signed a memorandum of understanding. The aim of this partnership is to guarantee a retirement pension for ARMP staff. In accordance with the Labour Code and the ARMP’s collective agreement, ARMP staff who are subject to the social security system pay their contributions to the CNSS during their professional career and are entitled to a pension when they retire.
With the aim of guaranteeing a retirement pension for ARMP staff, the Public Procurement Regulation Authority (ARMP) and the National Fund for Social Security (CNSS) signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday 21 February 2024.
The said memorandum of understanding, which is mainly aimed at the post-career security of ARMP staff, was signed by Mr Benoit Kalikat Kalembe, acting Director General of ARMP, and Mr Didier Kipopa Omeonga, Deputy Director General of the CNSS.
As a reminder, in accordance with the Labour Code and ARMP’s collective agreement, ARMP staff subject to the social security system pay their contributions to the CNSS during their professional career and are entitled to a pension on retirement.
Retirement is the social and financial situation of an individual who, having reached the required minimum age, ceases work, usually permanently, and receives a regular income in the form of a pension paid by the State or resources derived from past contributions or assets.
During the signing ceremony, ARMP’s Director General a.i. thanked CNSS’s General Management for supporting the future of its staff, promising to pay their contributions and arrears regularly in accordance with the terms of the signed protocol.
