ARAP Cape Verde and ARCOP Senegal sign a cooperation protocol

Members of the PFRA Board of Directors visited ARCOP-Senegal from March 11 to 14. During their visit to Dakar, the two organizations signed a cooperation protocol. ARCOP Managing Director Saër Niang welcomed this initiative, which illustrates the dynamism of cooperation between the two organizations and praised the efficiency and transparency of the Cape Verdean administration, represented at the meeting by ARAP CEO Samira Duarte. The two organizations were able to share their experience in public procurement auditing.

PFRA was represented by PCA Samira Duarte and Paula de Figueiredo Vieira, Director of Supervision, Audit and Studies, during a study visit to ARCOP – Senegal’s public procurement regulatory authority – from March 11 to 14, during which the cooperation protocol between the two entities was initialed.
ARCOP Managing Director Saér Niang hailed the initiative as an illustration of the dynamic cooperation between the two organizations and praised the efficiency and transparency that characterize Cape Verde’s administration. The two organizations were able to share their experience in public procurement auditing.

As part of the visit, PFRA Board members were invited to take part in an online meeting organized by the Technical Secretariat of the African Public Procurement Network (APPCN) on the theme of “Controlling public procurement. Principles and national experiences”. The event also included presentations from Senegal, Tunisia and  Ivoiry Coast, who shared their experiences of public procurement control. The members of the PFRA Board of Directors felt that the event, which took place at PFRA headquarters and included a debate and clarification session, was very productive.
