PPDA NEW STRATEGIC PLAN (2024-2029) IN PLACE
PPDA Launches Its Strategic Plan for 2024-2029: Towards a New Era of Excellence in Public Procurement and Asset Management
The Public Procurement and Disposal Authority (PPDA) is pleased to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan for the period 2024-2029. This ambitious plan marks a decisive turning point in its quest for excellence in public procurement and asset management, further strengthening its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
A recent orientation session was organized for its staff to present in detail the new Strategic Plan for 2024-2029. This event, led by Director General Edington Chilapondwa, was a crucial step in aligning the teams with the mission, vision, values, themes, and cultural transformation objectives defined in the strategic plan.
In his speech, the Director General emphasized the importance of cultural transformation, highlighting transparency, integrity, and impartiality as essential pillars.
“Integrity must permeate our entire being; it is inconceivable to display it in one area while ignoring it in another. It is a matter of character; it is our identity. The integrity of the authority is the sum of the integrity of its employees,” said Chilapondwa.
He also stressed the necessity of transparency: “Being transparent means allowing others to see our actions, our processes, our procedures, and our systems. People only judge what they can observe ; therefore, we must aim to be transparent in all our dealings to earn the trust of the citizens we serve.” Regarding impartiality, Chilapondwa encouraged the staff to remain objective and to avoid letting personal affiliations influence their work: “When the staff demonstrates transparency and integrity, impartiality naturally follows. We must not let our political, religious, or tribal affiliations impact our work.”
The PPDA is confident that, with the dedication and collective efforts of its staff, it will achieve its goal of becoming a leading institution in public procurement and asset management.
The orientation session concluded on a positive note, with staff members showing enthusiasm and determination to embrace the changes and actively contribute to the PPDA’s mission.
