Guinea/ Myriame Naila Conté from the African Development Bank to the Ministry of Public Procurement
In a decree published officially on Monday March 1st, 2021, the President of the Republic of Guinea, His Excellency, Mr. Alpha Condé appointed Mrs. Myriame Naila Conté, Minister in charge of public procurement.
Mrs. Myriame Naila Conté was formerly in the staff of the African Development Bank and well-known as expert in monitoring and evaluation of the public procurement system in French speaking countries, namely in the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) zone. She is well-known for her mastery of international tools for monitoring and evaluation. As an expert in public procurement, she will bring in there her expertise in order to improve more such a domain in Guinea.
His Excellency, Mr. Alpha Condé, aware of the importance of public procurement, and knowing that it is key to regional development in Africa, believes that public procurement deserves more sustained attention. And the appointment of Mrs. Myriame Naila Conté in the government of the fourth Republic, for many experts and observers, is hope for improvement of the public procurement system in Guinea
