More than thirty experts met at the initiative of the Authority National Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (ANRMP) in Grand-Bassam on 28 and 29 February 2024 to validate the syllabus of the Professional master’s in public Procurement.

As a reminder, the creation of this master’s degree stems from the National Strategy for Capacity Building (NSCB) for public procurement players, adopted by the Government in 2021. This strategy has two (2) focuses on the one hand the professionalization of public procurement functions and on the other hand the training of public procurement players.

The creation of a master’s degree in public Procurement is in line with the latter. Validation of the syllabus for the Professional master’s in public Procurement is therefore at the heart of the 2-day
workshop.During the opening ceremony, Mr. SAKO Mohamed, Director of the School for Continuing Education and Executive Development (EFCPC), representing the Director General of the National Polytechnic Institute Félix HOUPHOUET-BOIGNY (INP-HB) in Yamoussoukro, recalled how proud his institution was to be associated with this work and the setting up of this master’s degree. The INP-HB will be responsible for developing the content and managing the master’s program.

Following him, Mr BROU Yao Paul, the Director of Training, Communication and Quality, representing the Director General of Public Procurement, recalled the importance of the DGMP’s role in training those involved in the public procurement system. Taking the floor, the Vice-Chairman of the ANRMP’s Regulatory Council, Mr N’ZI Moro Nicaise, stressed the importance of setting up this master’s degree, which is a key stage in the professionalisation of the players involved, making it possible to strengthen not only the credibility of the public procurement ecosystem, but above all the capacities of the main players.

The workshop provided an opportunity to examine the skills repository, the teaching content of the syllabus and the general presentation of the Master’s degree. This workshop will be followed in the coming months by the development of training syllabuses and the training of trainers.
